The event will be played in 11 rounds, swiss system, featuring a total prize fund of 60.000 EUR. The 2023 European Women’s Chess Championship is a qualification event for the FIDE Women’s World Cup and according to FIDE regulations and the decision of the ECU Board, 9 players will qualify.
