ECU Commission For Women’s Chess announced 2 years ago “European Women’s Chess Trophy”, an initiative that aimed to financially reward women and girls actively take part in the solely women’s tournaments in Europe. It was great to see the growing number of female tournaments in Europe last year (also thanks to our ECU WOM commission’s financial support that we offer to organizers), as well as number of female players that had been considered for this trophy.
